A couples nights ago your Fashiolista editors attended the Coach & Vogue magazine Holiday fashion event, which was hosted by one of the biggest US bloggers Leandra from the ManRepeller. Of course we got to meet Leandra in person (who looked stunning as always!), we mingled with the other guests, had a glass of champaign and took a sneak peek in the Coach store, down Madison Avenue in Uptown NYC. We must say that Coach is doing really well, since we fell head over heels with some of the reintroduced classic pieces, shown on the picture below. Amazing classic leather bags, and also great men’s accessories which make perfect gifts for the upcoming holidays! A nice little extra of the night were the initialed hangtags that you could make for free.

There is no excuse to come up with an update about Paris Fashion Week with a delay of almost two months; but when I was browsing through my computer I found all these beautiful pictures I made during the first Paris Fashion Week show I went at the beginning of October.
Claudine Ivari is a young French fashion designer with a predilaction for silky and flairy materials, geometric patterns, ruffles and soft pastel shades. The show was a great fashion forecast for Spring/Summer 2012 trends. The dresses were very feminin and flattering for all kind of figures. And I loved the models’ hair-do’s: messy braids which looked simply stunning!

Last week we were invited to go to the Nelly High Heels Tour and of course we want to share this cool event with you! For those of you who don’t know, Nelly.com is a webshop that sells women’s fashion and designer clothes. To promote the shop they organized the Nelly High Heels Tour, and gave away 150 pairs of heels and 100 goodie bags!

Last Friday night, 14th of October, the Fashiolista team was invited to the Elite Model Look finals celebrated in the Stadsschouwburg, in Amsterdam. In the guest lists were big names as Grazia’s Editor in Chief Hilmar Mulder and celebrity stylist Danie Bles. An event full of fashion faces that had a very in-trend theme, the Sophisticated 70s.

Sequins and tulle, cripy whites and delicate baby pinks and blues; Russian designer Valentin Yudashkin showed his collection during Paris Fashion Week in the prestigious Westin Hotel. What do you think about these looks?
Photos | All by FashiolistaAt a perspex table, with a pile of notebooks and some fineliners, the amazingly talented Angeline Melin makes sketches of the guests at the Pennyblackstore in Paris. Especially for the occasion the walls of the store are decorated with her illustrations of the Blog & The City girls, as well as on the limited edition Blog Bag. We’re talking about the cocktailparty we attended last Thursday in Paris. We had a wonderful evening, enjoying the most delicious bites and drinks with the Pennyblack girls, while browsing the new collection and getting to meet Angeline. Thank you Pennyblack!
At the Rue Vivienne, next to Jean Paul Gaultier’s very first store, you find the Institut National de l’Histoire de l’Art. It formed the decor for designer Steffie Christiaens to show her collection. Yellow and baby blue dominated the very Lady Gaga-esque pieces. The bright blue lips, combined with out-of-space shoes and sunnies formed a nice contrast with the historical feel the venue created.
