A couples nights ago your Fashiolista editors attended the Coach & Vogue magazine Holiday fashion event, which was hosted by one of the biggest US bloggers Leandra from the ManRepeller. Of course we got to meet Leandra in person (who looked stunning as always!), we mingled with the other guests, had a glass of champaign and took a sneak peek in the Coach store, down Madison Avenue in Uptown NYC. We must say that Coach is doing really well, since we fell head over heels with some of the reintroduced classic pieces, shown on the picture below. Amazing classic leather bags, and also great men’s accessories which make perfect gifts for the upcoming holidays! A nice little extra of the night were the initialed hangtags that you could make for free.

Topshop Unique has inspired their entire fall collection on this furry Disney story, and it seems that also designer brands like Alexander Wang and Rebecca Minkoff have fallen for the black and white polkadot. In fashion the latest trends are always a reaction on something that happened before. After the super bright color blocking trend from last season, we are ready to make it look a bit more pale. We’ll be seeing a lot of these mint green, pale pink and soft yellow colors in the upcoming pre-fall collections, where Acne already kicked off with some amazing items!

It’s Thanksgiving day, so happy Thanksgiving to all of our dear readers who are celebrating! Since I’m currently in NYC, I will be celebrating Thanksgiving for the very first time as well. Any recommendations or recipes to share?
In doubt what to wear on this big holiday? No worries! We’ve carefully selected some good looks for you, which will make you look fabulous and comfy when preparing that turkey with cranberry sauce. Big plus: it will also get you through the day without changing too much. The best basis to go for on a busy holiday like this, is a classic party but-not-to-much-dress that goes with almost everything. It gives you the oppurtunatity to tone it down or dress it up to any occassion.
We have chosen this subtle black dress from Nowhere to start our 3 looks with, but off course any other one will do.

Analyzing this season’s collections, we feel like designers have imagined themselves at the bottom of the sea. We love these futuristic looking mermaids walking on sandy catwalks filled with shells. The pastel colors and soft organic shapes give it a super feminine and romantic touch, but the metallic pearl-shine is chic and very 2012 at the same time. We are in love, what about you?
Of course we have to wait until spring when these items hit the stores, but we found some matching items for you to start loving right away!
