The streets are full of pretty lights and Christmas decorations, and we’re dreaming of Christmas parties and gorgeous outfits we’ll be wearing. ASOS is dreaming with us and they’re giving away a €100 gift voucher every single week! All you have to do is create a look per week.

There is no excuse to come up with an update about Paris Fashion Week with a delay of almost two months; but when I was browsing through my computer I found all these beautiful pictures I made during the first Paris Fashion Week show I went at the beginning of October.

Claudine Ivari is a young French fashion designer with a predilaction for silky and flairy materials, geometric patterns, ruffles and soft pastel shades. The show was a great fashion forecast for Spring/Summer 2012 trends. The dresses were very feminin and flattering for all kind of figures. And I loved the models’ hair-do’s: messy braids which looked simply stunning!

Then there’s The Beauty Department, the beauty website that she shares with her makeup artist and hair stylist. She is also author of three books under the name of L.A. Candy besides being one of America’s sweethearts thanks to her main roles in Laguna Beach and The Hills. Long time gone from that period in her life, LC has also changed her make-up through the years, always staying true to herself with subtle make-up, never over the top.

Another blogger lady for our weekly Style Interview! Karlijn is not only writer and blogger of First of August, she also has her own clothing webshop and is finishing her second degree. Her blog has a bit of all the goods: fashion, inspiration and it features creative people.

Laura: Hi Karlijn! Thanks for taking the time to meet me. Let’s see… can you describe yourself a little bit.
Karlijn: I’m Karlijn, 25 years old and live in Amsterdam. I’m almost finished with my Masters in Cultural Sociology, but I also graduated at AMFI in Fashion and Branding. I love to travel and get inspired by cities and people around the world. During my AMFI study I did a Minor photography, graphic design and art history in New Zealand for 6 months.

Last week we were invited to go to the Nelly High Heels Tour and of course we want to share this cool event with you! For those of you who don’t know, Nelly.com is a webshop that sells women’s fashion and designer clothes. To promote the shop they organized the Nelly High Heels Tour, and gave away 150 pairs of heels and 100 goodie bags!

It’s Thanksgiving day, so happy Thanksgiving to all of our dear readers who are celebrating! Since I’m currently in NYC, I will be celebrating Thanksgiving for the very first time as well. Any recommendations or recipes to share?

In doubt what to wear on this big holiday? No worries! We’ve carefully selected some good looks for you, which will make you look fabulous and comfy when preparing that turkey with cranberry sauce. Big plus: it will also get you through the day without changing too much. The best basis to go for on a busy holiday like this, is a classic party but-not-to-much-dress that goes with almost everything. It gives you the oppurtunatity to tone it down or dress it up to any occassion.

We have chosen this subtle black dress from Nowhere to start our 3 looks with, but off course any other one will do.
